- Didsbury Village WI started in December 2008. The WI is non-sectarian and non-political. Our main purpose is to be a place for friendship, social and educational activities. With the WI it is possible to take part in sport, outings, crafts and other activities you may not normally consider.
Didsbury Village W.I. is part of the Cheshire Federation of WI which in turn belongs to the National Federation of WIs (NFWI).
At annual NFWI meetings, resolutions on issues of national interest and concern are debated and voted upon. As a result of this, the NFWI can help to influence national decision-making bodies.
Therefore, every W.I. has a vote and members can be aware of and be involved in national current affairs.
